Third and Fourth Grade

Grades Three and Four

South Bay Christian School

Our theme for the school year is "Growing in God's Love".  School is all about growing in all areas with our minds, our bodies, our friends, our characters, and our relationship with Jesus.

We will understand our school mission and vision statements through the Bible verse Micah 6:8 that teaches us to ACT justly, to LOVE mercy, and to WALK humbly with God.

Hi Parents,

3 of our 4 school houses visited constituency churches this past weekend and what a blessing your children were to the congregations who help fund our school! Thank you to those of you who could make it and support SBCS by saying THANK YOU to South Bay SDA, Long Beach SDA, and Gardena Japanese/Genesis Churches. Vlach House will visit Rolling Hills SDA Church on May 11.

Next week on Thursday, May 9, we will attend the LA County Fair to visit the educational exhibits for the school day.  Thank you for returning the field trip slip indicating whether you can drive and chaperone for our class.  All classes at SBCS will be attending.

Next Friday, May 10, is International Day for SBCS!  This is a great opportunity to share and experience the beautiful diversity that is here at South Bay. Please bring food representing your heritage and students are encouraged to wear cultural clothing if they have it.  More on the potluck from our room parents this week.  Thank you so much!

This is the week to get online support for the Color Run! Thank you for doing all you can by this Friday, May 3, to qualify for prizes.  All students will run on Friday, May 24 to commemorate our last House Color Day of the school year.  SBCS is SO grateful for your help and support!

Be thinking about the Talent Show coming up on Thursday, May 16, 2024, and let  Ms. Dahl, the office,  or myself know if you are interested in scheduling an audition.  This has proven to be a WONDERFUL evening for SBCS in previous years.  Auditions will be held this week at lunch time in Ms. Dahl's room.

Students are encouraged to keep their homework page in their folder inside their backpack providing access  at home and at school as needed.  The Homework Page can also be found on the Teacher Pages on our school website.

Thank you for the effort you are all putting into getting all the acceptable uniform articles and accessories consistent with our policy.  We greatly appreciate your cooperation.

Check out the Seabreeze and the school calendar for the latest information on upcoming events.

 Have a great week!
