Now enrolling for the 2026-2027 school year!
Our program is a structured extracurricular activity designed to provide students in these grades with the opportunity to participate in organized sports beyond regular school hours. The program aims to foster physical fitness, skill development, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship among young athletes and personal growth.
The program is typically divided into fall, winter and spring seasons each focusing on a different sport. Practice sessions are held multiple times per week after school under the guidance of experienced coaches. Parents, if you wish to volunteer to assist with coaching, please contact Mr. Mario Negrete at mnegrete@sbchristian.com.
Students participate in competitive leagues and tournaments to test their skills against other teams playing in on-campus and
off-campus settings.
Students build friendships, learn to communicate effectively within a team setting, improve physical fitness abilities and
develop self-confidence.
This program not only enhances students' athletic skills but also prepares them for future challenges by teaching essential life skills through sports.
All 5th through 8th-grade students are eligible and encouraged to participate, with emphasis on inclusivity and development over winning.
We have both a boys and girls program.

There will be a form parents will need to sign for your child to participate, as well as a $150 fee. The fee helps cover the referees for the games and equipment. We're working on getting new nets for the indoor and outdoor fields.

At South Bay Christian School, students participate in 120 minutes of Physical Education (PE) each week as part of our commitment to developing healthy, active learners. Our PE program promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, coordination, and lifelong healthy habits.
Physical Education classes are held both indoors and outdoors, depending on weather conditions for all students TK-8th grade. Middle school students change into PE uniforms before their scheduled PE class.
To ensure student safety and comfort during PE activities, students should come to school dressed in the appropriate Physical Education attire.
Middle School Students should wear:
South Bay Christian School PE T-shirt
South Bay Christian School PE shorts
SBCS soccer or volleyball jerseys (optional)
Athletic shoes (gym shoes are required; no exceptions)
During colder weather, students may wear solid-colored sweatpants over their PE uniform.
Thank you for helping your child come prepared for Physical Education each week.
