Admissions
What grades does South Bay Christian School serve?
South Bay Christian School serves students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th Grade, providing a Christ-centered education that prepares students academically, spiritually, socially, and physically.
How do I apply?
The enrollment process begins by completing our online application. After your application is submitted, we will contact you to schedule grade-level assessments and discuss the next steps.
Do you recommend touring the campus before applying?
Absolutely! We encourage every family to schedule a personal campus tour. Seeing our classrooms, meeting our teachers, and experiencing our campus firsthand is the best way to determine if South Bay Christian School is the right fit for your family.
Is there an entrance assessment?
Yes. All prospective students complete a grade-appropriate academic assessment to ensure proper placement and identify individual learning needs.
Can students transfer during the school year?
Yes. We accept mid-year transfers when space is available. Please contact our Admissions Office to discuss availability.
Academics
What curriculum do you use?
Our curriculum meets and exceeds state academic standards while integrating Christian values throughout every subject. We emphasize critical thinking, creativity, communication, and academic excellence.
What is the average class size?
Our smaller class sizes allow teachers to know each student personally and provide individualized instruction and support.
Are students challenged academically?
Yes. We maintain high academic standards while providing the encouragement and support students need to succeed.
How do you measure student progress?
Student progress is monitored through classroom assessments, projects, report cards, parent-teacher conferences, and nationally recognized MAP Growth assessments administered throughout the school year.

What denomination is South Bay Christian School?
South Bay Christian School is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and welcomes families from all faith backgrounds.
Do students have to be Seventh-day Adventist to attend?
No. Families from all religious backgrounds are welcome. Our student body reflects a variety of faith traditions.
Is religion part of the daily schedule?
Yes. Students participate in daily worship, prayer, Bible instruction, weekly Chapel services, and opportunities for Christian service.
Will my child be pressured to join your church?
No. Our mission is to share God's love through education while respecting each family's personal faith journey.
School Life
What are your school hours?
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM with TK/K dismissal at 3:10 PM, 1/2 grade at 3:15 PM and 3/4 at 3:20 PM.
Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Do you offer before and after-school care?
Yes with cost of $ 7.00/hour. No flat fees. Parents are billed for time used. Billing occurs with monthly tuition invoice.
Morning supervision begins at 7:00 AM.
After-school care is available until 6:00 PM.
Do students wear uniforms?
Yes. School uniforms help promote unity, reduce distractions, and encourage a positive learning environment.

Technology
Do students use technology in the classroom?
Yes. Technology is integrated thoughtfully into instruction to enhance learning while maintaining healthy screen-time practices.
Do students receive homework online?
Teachers may utilize online learning platforms and classroom communication tools depending on grade level.
Safety
How do you keep students safe?
Student safety is one of our highest priorities. Our campus utilizes secure visitor procedures, supervised classrooms and playgrounds, emergency preparedness plans, and regular safety drills. We are a closed campus with 29 cameras in operation to monitor campus safety.
Who can pick up my child?
Students are released only to parents or individuals authorized by the family.
Tuition & Financial Information
How much is tuition?
Current tuition information can be found on our Tuition page. Our Admissions Office is also happy to answer questions regarding fees and payment plans.
Do you offer financial assistance?
Qualified families may be eligible for tuition assistance. Please contact our Admissions Office for more information. Financial assistance is limited and awarded in the month of July for the coming school year.
Parent Partnership
How can parents get involved?
We value strong partnerships with our families. Parents can volunteer, participate in school events, support field trips, attend classroom activities, and become active members of our school community. We do have requirements for parents to fulfill when volunteering. They must have a Lifescan on file with our conference office and have completed the Mandated Reporter Training. How do teachers communicate with parents?
Teachers communicate regularly through email, newsletters, conferences, classroom communication platforms, and personal conversations.
International Students
Do you accept international students?
Yes. South Bay Christian School welcomes international students and offers an I-20 Student Visa Program for qualifying students in eligible grade levels. We also have a Winter Break program running from January to February each school year.
Can you help families through the visa process?
Yes. Our Admissions Office works closely with families and international education partners throughout the enrollment process.
